Hey everyone! Yojana here!
I decided that it'll be a fun idea to make a playlist of all the songs Cristy and I listen to when we are together, mostly in the car! I'll be posting albums and songs that we love so much and listen to all the time when we're together! It gets a little lengthy in the end by the way!

-Cristy and I always loved this song even before we met each other, because Blue October is amazing, duh. But I do have a little story that reminds me of this song! Back in sophomore year of high school, Cristy and I had a class together, i'm pretty sure it was English and we would always have to do these "warm ups", which were just a few pages of writing of any topic we choose. We were always very lazy and he hated doing them so, one day we decided just to write the lyrics to Into the Ocean by Blue October because we memorized it all. We're terrible students, I know lol.
-Cristy liked the Cults way more than I did in high school, all I really listened to was Go Outside and one day, she introduced me to this song and I fell in love with it! So ever since, this has always been one of the songs we listen to all the time together.

- I'm pretty sure Yojana showed me this song, like all the songs on this playlist. I don't really have much to say about this song other than that it's so completely amazing!!

☾ Vampire Weekend - Horchata
- So, this was one of the first songs that Yojana introduced me to by Vampire Weekend, like she said I would ask her to make me basically a playlist of all her music and this was on one of the songs on the list this song and it gives us all the good feels. I remember being in class or walking down the hallway singing this song with her.

☾ Young the Giant - Cough Syrup & Apartment
-OKAY Cough Syrup is definitely the song we constantly listen to. It's OUR song. I say this because in the beginning of our friendship, we found this song and always listened to it and sang it all the time walking down the hallways. There was a good 3 months where we stopped talking to each other because we got into a fight (long story)and during those 3 months, we were both kinda tweeting/singing/etc the lyric "life's too short to even care at all, oh , ohh" and didn't realize until we became friends again in the beginning of senior year. We were like, "whaaaat, you were listening to that too???". Although this song is rather depressing and doesn't really define our friendship, it just sticks.

-We are OBSESSED with Lana Del Rey. If any of you guys know us in person, you probably already know how in love we are with her, lol. Cristy was lucky enough to see her live but I had to work that day, sadly. :-( I will most definitely see her in the year 2017, I know it!!!!

☾ San Cisco - Awkward
-There was a good portion of high school when Cristy used to ask me to make her lists of songs to listen to so she could discover different genres she never discovered and the
song Awkward was one of the first songs she liked! It's such a good song, especially for a long drive for a road trip or honestly, anywhere else! It could fit any mood!!

☾ MGMT - Kids & Electric Feel
-In high school, I had such an obsession with MGMT, especially the song Time to Pretend. My mom, one day, took me to Best Buy and she bought me the Oracular Spectacular album and I freaked out and probably showed Cristy. Electric Feel will always be a classic! We wish we could see them live, that would be so amazing!!

-Like Lana Del Rey, we are also very in love with Marina and the Diamonds. We were fortunate enough to see her live on October 12, 2015!!! Marina is just so beautiful and genuine. Her lyrics are so meaningful but also very fun to listen to!

☾ Purity Ring - Fineshrine(honestly, every song)
-We also saw Purity Ring live! I introduced Cristy to Purity Ring and with the few songs I showed her, she fell in love!! Around the time the new album, Another Eternity came out, we saw them live and actually touched them! It was one of the best concerts we've been to! All the albums are so amazing and dreamy. Any song fits any mood!

- With this song, I remember me and Yojana were in our testing room the whole class had finished testing, so they were playing Napoleon Dynamite on the projector and we of course were listening to music laying on the floor when i remember Yojana was like omg this song is so good !! So of course Yojana added it to our playlist.

- So at the time Nicki Minaj was so popular, i'm sure everyone at our school knew these songs! they just happened to stick with me and Yojana when we take drives in my car :) Also any song that she is featured in with Drake are amazing.

-We saw Melanie live too! Melanie, Marina and Lana are our queens (Halsey also, for me ;p not so much for Cristy, she doesn't like Halsey -_____-) Melanie is the cutest lil thing and her music is dark but portrayed child like and full of pastel colors and happy, it's kinda fucked up but, so are we! Melanie's style is so adorable and gorgeous!

We always start the song singing the beat, like BA DUN A DUN DUN!!! LMAO
